Short-Term Forecast 7/16/13 (no map)

Sorry, I don't have time to make a map tonight. Basically it is going to be very warm for the entire state tomorrow, 70s-80s west of the Cascades, 80s-90s east. Later in the afternoon/evening a large system will move in from the south, bringing lots of clouds and some rain. With the heat we will have and the moisture coming with the system, there is a very good chance for thunderstorms all across the state tomorrow. Eastern Washington will have a higher chance than Western Washington, but everyone may see some action. This will continue on through Wednesday morning.

Sorry again about the map, but hopefully this will suffice until tomorrow!

First post!

Hi everyone!

My name is John, and I will be your Washington Weather Plus forecaster! I will be doing a long range weekly forecast every Sunday, and daily short range forecasts each day.

A little about myself: I am a recent graduate from the University of Washington, with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science. I recently started my own weather forecasting blog to keep up on my skills (shameless plug: Husky Weather. I heard about Weather Plus from a classmate of mine, and after a few emails, here I am!

I hope to provide you with accurate forecasts, and I hope you tell all of your friends to come here for their needs!

I will start forecasting for this blog on Sunday. In the meantime, here is a map I made for this week. I know, it's Wednesday, but hopefully it'll help you out still.
